Courtesy of Christee at Three Chimney Farms we have two wonderful new mares to add to our brood band in the near future! We would like to introduce everyone to these two wonderful girls. Certificate of Deposit is a stunning mare who has earned her Grand Championship in English with a high score of 75. Cassatt, who we are absolutely over the moon to have on our farm is a daughter of our late Grand Champion sire High Class'. Since he passed away well before his time and will have a limited number of foals we are so excited to have one of his champion foals living with us. Cassie has earned her Grand Champion title and will show lightly between being a mother.

This year we are very excited to have two wonderful colts representing Valley Top Ranch in the Racing Futurities! Both boys have done wonderfully with their ground work training and are fully trained! They both did very well with the amount of saddle breaking they have had. Acacia completely took to one of them especially though.... Makin' Jokes has become this years golden boy. He is such a wonderfully smart colt who goes into all his training with a level head. Despite only a few months of saddle breaking he was already starting to make progress and should finish up very quickly once Acacia takes him back. Even with only three months of training on the race track he showed progress! Instead of panicking all the time we had days that he actually completed the task he was put on. We can't wait to see him perform! All that being said about Jester, his pasture-mate, Karma, has also shaped up into a wonderful boy. Karma For Sins is a sweet boy with breeding to die for. He has done well in training and is almost keeping up with Jester. He is smart but can be spooky and silly when it comes to learning new things. He completed his ground training easily and moved on to saddle breaking with Jester. Who are your Futurity hopefuls? Comment below and share with us!After a long discussion with everyone on the farm we have decided to finally start offering incentives to owners of Valley Top horses!
With so many of our offspring that we sell showing so much potential we want to encourage buyers to show those horses to their full potential! We want to see those foals run, dace, jump, and barrel race to championships! Grand Champion - $100,000 ERD National Champion - $250,000 ERD World Champion - $500,000 ERD & 30 straws from any stallion of your choice & one broodmare lease. We are so excited for this foaling season! We have such a busy season but can't wait to see what hits the ground! One of the mares we are most excited about is a maiden mare. Rosalind' was sold to us by Christee at Three Chimmneys and we immediately fell in love. This wonderful mare is such a happy girl. She is playful and sweet but knows her manners. We were so happy when she arrived and we can't wait to see what kind of mother she turns out to be.
This season she is in foal to none other than the late World Champion Victory Wonder. I'm sure I dont need to say much more since I assume most people have heard of this amazing boy. We used up the last of our FS from him this season and are anxiously awaiting for 5 foals from him! Literally a lot of toe-tapping going on at Valley Top right now and with Rosa already starting to show signs the poor horses will be lucky if we even leave the barn for a few moments at a time. Comment below! What foals are you most anxiously awaiting on your farms? He is finally on the market! - no he isn't for sale (sorry everyone) but his little swimmers sure are! After being hit very hard with EIA recently we are happy to be able to share this good news with everyone.
Silver is such a wonderful boy, where do I even start? This guy obviously has stunning good looks to add to your barns as well as extremely good temperament and conformation. With his modest breeding on his dams side extremely good ratings are more than we could have ever hoped for. Silver was bred with the hopes of adding some much needed intelligence to our thoroughbred bloodlines. As his training progressed we realized we were getting exactly what we had asked for. Even when he was younger he had a level head on his strong shoulders and trained very quickly. Silver took to the English Discipline more than he did racing. Once showing regularly he quickly moved up the ranks and achieved his Grand Championship. He now has a few foals on the ground with great potential and we cannot wait to see what else he produces!! Silver is sired by non-other than our late top-sire Boy's A Sinner. Bart is a multi-champion producer and multi-world champion producer. He is the sire of the amazing late stallion Victory Wonder who is also a multiple champion producing stallion. Silver is out of the stunning Wutanvi mare She's Got Class who is owned by Christee at Three Chimneys Farm. Valley Top has been hit very hard with EIA. We are recovering slowly.... Bev has taken a few days off to deal with the grief and the remaining hands are working very hard to help clean the barns and care for the horses. Acacia has taken time off training just to help with all this.
http://www.equine-ranch.com/mybb/showthread.php?tid=12125 New Studs added to the Stallion Roster!Valley Top is very happy to add a few new boys to our stallion roster!
Desolation of Smaug (Grand Champion) is a stunning Red Roan boy we were lucky to get. His owner was downsizing in preparation for a ranch shut-down and he was offered to us. We were never expecting to have purchased a champion in the making! His bloodlines have champions as well as lesser titled horses. These lines have resulted in a wonderful low COI. Marcus Fenix is next! Such a stunning boy who came from the same situation as Smaug. Once again we were never expecting a champion, let alone a National Champion! Marcus is also working hard towards his WORLD title with well over 100 of the 150 points earned. He is such a wonderful boy with EX speed, a low COI, and good bloodlines this guy has a lot of breeding potential! Here's to the Good Times (Grand Champion) or George as he is known around here is a home-bred champion out of one of our late champion broodmares. He has EX speed and a fiesty fiery spirit to pass on to his offspring. And finally there is National Champion Artemiz. This colorful and bright boy is a cross between one of our champion broodmares and Starz Alibi, an excellent stallion owned by Christee at Three Chimmneys. Arty is a wonderful show horse who has reached show scores in the 80s! We cannot wait to see what kind of foals this boy will produce! Well it is long past due but this boy finally has his FS hitting the market! At 10 straws for $500 it is quite the steal! He is well on his way to his GCh title and has wonderful ratings. He already has many foals on the ground and has proved quite popular among paint breeders and thoroughbred breeders alike. It is easy to see what paint breeders have taken to him. With his stunning grulla coat and wonderful tobiano markings he is a goldmine for any color-breeders. For the throughbred breeders looking for speed he has it! With Extraordinary speed and speedy
Last year was a hard year. We lost several of our farm favorites that had been with us for decades. The hardest loss of all was of course Grand Champion, Boy's A Sinner. The sweet stunning blue roan stallion turned to be, not only a successful race-horse, but a very successful sire. Proving to come second only to Galaxxy in Futurity Winners. He has sired many horses with Champion status as well as smaller titles. So it is with a small smile on my face that I announce the addition of two of his sons to our Stallion Roster!! First up is OutStrip Sired by Boy's A Sinner and out of the Champion broodmare Tabianka. Whitey sports a lovely bay roan (or red roan) coat and a very calm, yet determined personality. This boy currently has his National Champion but is only a few points away from his World Championship!! He has Excellent speed with a highest racing score of just over 85 points! With Extremely Good conformation and temperament he is sure to produce some wonderful offspring!! Up next is Sins Addict Ben is sired by Boy's A Sinner and out of Lady's Addicted, a speed producing mare. A bay roan like his half brother he is sure to pass this stunning trait along. Ben was a very quick learner during training and also supports a wonderful calm, yet determined temperament. Currently a Grand Champion but racking up points to his National Title! Ben is a speed demon with Extraordinary speed he currently has a high score of 81 in English. Extremely Good Conformation and Temperament will hopefully make him a promising sire! It is will an absolutely shattered heart that I announce the passing of two of Valley Tops champion race horses. Boy's A Sinner is one of the current leading Thoroughbred sires currently ranked #37. Before he passed he managed to achieve his Grand Championship title. He will be missed so much. Optimizer was a National Champion in Thoroughbred racing and took to motherhood like the champion she was. She foaled out many wonderful foals for us including several title winners. It was hard to hear she had passed. Both Bart and Oppy passed surrounded by our loving staff. It is a very quiet day at the farm today.... |
